Vocational, Entrepreneurial and Technology Program For Widows.
Fruit Foundation’s Vocational Empowerment Program recently celebrated a significant milestone by successfully empowering 200 vulnerable women in Lagos. The program, supported by the United States Consulate in Lagos and various partners and donors, focuses on equipping women in both rural and urban communities with crucial skills and grants, aiming to decrease unemployment and boost financial literacy.
This Program
- Educates young girls and women in Secondary and Higher institutions about the issues they will face later in life.
- Allows women to share their life experiences to help better the lives of young girls.
- Encourages the women to strive for the best.
- Creates a forum where girls are prepared for the future by the introduction of curriculum activities that would make them better people in the future.

Our courses, including Fashion Design, Catering, and Digital Marketing, are tailored to provide practical and marketable skills. We are committed to continuing our efforts to positively impact the lives of women in Nigeria and call for increased support from both government and private sectors to expand our reach.
This Program
- Provided an opportunity for widows to be economically empowererd and be a part of a network.
- Enhanced their personal and professional development through our programs, discussions and seminars.
- Financial Literacy: The program included components of financial literacy to help the widows manage and grow their income effectively, fostering long-term financial stability.
- Skill Development: The project offered training in various vocational skills including Fashion Design, Catering, and Digital Marketing, which are essential for starting and managing small businesses.

This is targeted at widows empowerment.
We aim to give them a better understanding of issues that they continue to encounter in life and equip them with skills such as respect, self-esteem, love, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, leadership and community service.
THE VET 2023-2024 PROGRAM
The program culminated in a vibrant closing ceremony attended by notable guests including Mrs. Oluwaseun Joan Stephen, founder of Purple Heart Foundation; Mrs. Mautin Ajose, founder of Mautin and Co Fashion Empire; and Mrs. Julie Kay, Public Affairs Officer of the US Consulate General, Lagos. They urged participants to utilize their newly acquired skills to forge sustainable livelihoods and pass on their knowledge for the greater good of the community.
